Arjan Bouw has been dancing the 5Rhythms since 1996 and has been teaching the Waves level of this practice since 2005 and Heartbeat since 2010. He has been teaching Open Floor since 2016. His embodied heart is proof of these teachings.

His down to earth humanity creates safe spaces in which the life force can find its way to move through and onto the dance floor. He teaches internationally, trained as a theatre therapist now. He returns to offer us his wild creative spirit, his playful inspirations, poetic tranquility infused with all his generosity.

A 5Rhythms ritual dance and theater workshop with healing potential.

In the dance of life, being seen is rarely a neutral act. There is a constant tension between the desire to be seen and the urge to retreat into the shadows. In this 5Rhythms workshop, we will dive deep into this polarity, going through the ways we mask ourselves, the ways we conceal our true essence.

We wear so many masks, create so many facades to hide our true selves. Together, we will shine a light on the characters we embody. We will shine a light on the perfectionists, the control freaks, the wide-eyed dolls who yearn for love, and the fiercely independent characters who say, “I don’t need anyone.”

Through dance, we will reveal what lies behind these disguises. What are we really trying to hide? Let us explore, reveal, dance our truth.
